Meet Dr Ianniello

I am a pediatrician and mother of a son and two daughters. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2001 and went on to Boston University School of Medicine, graduating with my MD in 2005.  I completed a 3-year residency in Pediatrics at UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center.  I started a fellowship in Neonatology at Tufts Floating Hospital; however, in the midst of welcoming my first child, made the difficult decision to not continue in this role.  I started as a pediatric hospitalist at Boston Children’s Hospital in 2010, caring for children of all ages with a variety of conditions.  From 2012-2019 I worked on the Child Protection Team at Boston Children’s Hospital, consulting on cases of physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect.  In 2019, I returned to the world of newborn care, which I had missed dearly. I currently also work as a newborn hospitalist and have experience in a newborn developmental clinic.

Personally, I have been through a variety of pregnancy, birth and postpartum experiences, including preterm labor, delivery at 29 weeks with NICU stay for 72 days, precipitous vaginal delivery, C-sections, breastfeeding, combination feeding and exclusive formula feeding.

I founded Nurtured Nest MD because I am passionate about helping parents transition to life with a new baby. I love the newborn stage and look forward to helping you and your family feel confident about parenting your newborn!
